The Solera RV Slide-Out Awning – 163" Wide – Black shields your slide-out roof from leaves, dirt, and pooling water so you don’t have to climb up and clean it off after every storm. It automatically extends and retracts along with your slide-out, creating a barrier that prevents water damage, mold, or mildew from working their way inside. The premium 13.5-oz vinyl fabric stands up to years of sun, rain, and wind without splitting or fading. It’s cold-crack tested down to -25°F, so even freezing winter conditions won’t cause it to stiffen or crack. The seams are heat-welded instead of stitched, locking out leaks that can weaken the fabric over time. This construction gives the topper long-term durability across changing climates.
Everything you need comes in one box—including the awning rail, brackets, and hardware—so you can mount it yourself without hunting down extra parts. The roller tube arrives pre-assembled with the fabric already attached. Once in place, the awning rail can be installed up to 5" above your slide trim for proper slope, letting rainwater drain off instead of pooling. It only needs at least 3" of space above the slide and a minimum of 7" clearance on both sides for easy installation.
No switches, wiring, or manual setup required—the awning extends and retracts automatically as your slide moves. That keeps the motion synchronized and ensures the fabric always rolls out straight and tight. When retracted, the topper stores compactly against the slide-out for a clean, factory look in black that matches the included hardware.
The awning measures 163" wide with a 48" projection and is sized for slide-outs from 158" to 163" flange to flange. For proper coverage, the fabric should extend at least 2-1/2" beyond each side of the slide box. If space is tight and you don’t have 7" clearance per side, choose the next size down for the right fit. This sizing approach ensures full protection without interference from nearby fixtures or adjacent slides.
It's important that the slide-topper sits at as steep an angle as possible so that any rainwater will drain immediately. Any water that sits in the awning can stretch out the fabric permanently and warp it out of shape.

Unfortunately, I can' review this topper as it was damaged while being shipped twice. The first time the topper showed up bent in two spots and I refused the shipment, it did take a week to get another one shipped, and it too showed up bent. The original order was placed on 08/16/22 the bent replacement showed up on 09/21/22, if you are ordering a long topper just be prepared that it might get messed up.

Everything to be here and accounted for except I am missing half my screws that mount the slide rail to the camper. I have 16 screws and I need 34.

Well etrailer needs to use a better delivery company. They did ship another awning but UPS seems to have lost this one. They are now tracing it now. So my opinion on UPS still stands. The truck showed up in the warehouse in NY and the product was not on truck. So I am still waiting to finish my review.
Great slide awning. Easy install. Depending on length, you will need a second person to help hold the weight of the awning as you slide it into the rail. I used two ladders with a 2x6 between them so I could walk easily back and forth without going up and down ladders and constantly moving the ladder. Awning is doing its job well and holding up nicely.
ETrailer was awesome. After price matching (beating) the price for these slideout toppers at Camping World some arrived damaged during shipping. They promptly corrected all of my issues and sent replacements.
After this great customer support I'll use ETrailer whenever possible from now on.
Folks, etrailer is the place to order. I have ordered Air bags for my truck and now have ordered two separate slide out awnings for my 5th wheel. Best price around and good service. Awning was back order so had to wait til it was in stock and they shipped it out as soon as they got it in. Great organization and they are in America. Thanks etrailer.
We were not given All of the correct hardware. Upon reaching out to Kylie and Chloe at E-trailer, they questioned whether we opened the package. After sending proof of purchase and the part number's needed they informed me they would send out a request to reorder the hardware. 2-3 days later, we received another email stating no shipment has been created but rather they would perform a 'dock search' to see if the missing hardware was there. Not only were the responses absolutely useless, they knew time was of the essence as hurricane Ian was on it's way to give us a direct hit. We will NEVER use etrailer ever again, and I warn other's to steer clear of etrailer all together.
During the same time we emailed etrailer about the missing hardware, we had the common sense not to leave it up to these idiots, so we contacted Lippert at the same time. The replacement hardware from LIPPERT arrived 3 days prior to etrailer informing us that they were NOT sending replacement hardware like they stated they would, rather they would look around the shipping dock for the missing parts. What in the world is going on with etrailer's customer service?! BUYER BEWARE and spend the extra buck at [online vendor] or [vendor]. If you expect the order from etrailer to come as it should, then you would be mistaken! If you expect okay-decent customer service, then you would be mistaken! Save yourself the headache or dealing with this BS and avoid etrailer all together. We know we will!
Great slide awning from a great company. Etrailer is my go to place for all my rv and towing needs. Their service is excellent.

Installing an awning is not that difficult, especially if you are comfortable working off a ladder and have a friend. As far as the awning goes…. It works well and looks great!

After searching the internet and checking reviews I chose etrailer for my slide out awning. I have shopped at Camping World who had the same awning but a lower price. After contacting etrailer with their price match I got the awning plus a few dollars less shipped to my door! Communications were excellent!
The installation was straight forward with ample instructions. The mounting brackets for the slide out has two positions, an upper and lower to provide clearance between the roll and top of the slide out. I used the upper. Hardware was great quality. There is ample adjustments in the brackets side to side if needed. My trailer a 2020 Aspen Trail 2750BH has the “C” rail as part of the gutter so I didn’t need to install the one provided with the awning! My wife and I installed the awning with two ladders and did not have any problems. Make sure and use the silicone spray as it really makes the awning easy to slide thru the C channel. We are happy with our purchase and will definitely use etrailer for our needs! Thank you for a quality product!

Very pleased with our awing! We go camping once a month and have used it many times since we installed it. Still looking good, no sun fade or any other problems. It is a quality product! etrailer is my go to source! Never disappointed!
